new job
I should mention that I started a new job about 2 months ago. I am the new Director of Education and Associate Programs Manager at the UW World Series. Yes, that is actually two jobs, but I'm handling it. And loving it, in fact. More on this later.

work samples
For those of you who know what industry I've been working in, you may not be surprised to learn that I have been dusting off my resume and taking a bit of a peek around. I love the work I get to do, especially the partnership development piece, and I think this is actually a really exciting time to be a part of the "changing media landscape"; HOWEVER, I just signed a lease on a new apartment in (on?) Capitol Hill and let's just say I can't really fall back on my barista skills any longer.
So, for this reason and also because it was just time to get my work samples organized, I have started yet another little web site on google pages (I love google pages because you don't have to understand anything about web development to create yourself a wee space in cyber-land; perfect for a digital immigrant like me). Check it out.

Shining the Light on Government
So, every once in a while I get to do something really interesting at my job. Most recently, I wrote this special section on open government in collaboration with the Washington Coalition for Open Government (WCOG). Even better, this section was mentioned by not one, but two of my favorite Seattle journalist-bloggers, Knute Berger (Crosscut) and Mike Fancher (Press Here). So that was pretty nice.
